Potain Hup 40-30
- Maximum capacity: 8,800 lb (4.4 USt)
- Maximum operating hook radius: 131 ft (40 m)
- Maximum tip capacity: 2,200 lb (1.1 USt)
- Hook height per base: 98 ft (30 m)
- Variable height mast from 82 ft (25 m) to 98 ft (30 m) with the telescoping mast.
- Variable jib positions at horizontal, 10 deg, 20 deg
Chassis: Outriggers swing and lock into position. 14.8 ft (4.5 m) square outrigger spread with 8.2 ft (2.5 m) maximum turning radius. 23.6 in (600 mm) square outrigger pads are stowed on the crane during transport.
Ballast: Ballast requirement for the crane consists of fifteen (15) slabs each weighing 3,858 lb (1,750 kg).
Mast: Telescoping and folding mast raised by an auxiliary winch and pulley block. Hook heights of 84 ft (25.6 m) and 98 ft (30 m) achievable; rotation possible during raising sequence.
Jib: 131 ft (40 m) radius standard off-settable lattice jib. The jib can be offset to 10˚ or 20˚. Opening and aligning are carried out automatically by three hydraulic cylinders.
Swing: HPS 142 slewing mechanism with a maximum swing speed of 0.9 rpm. Progressive control of the speed with counter-slewing possible, anti-load swinging system makes aligning the load and jib easier. Multiple rpm speeds possible depending upon parameter selected.
Hoist: 18 HPL 10: 18 HP variable frequency hoist with 1,100 lb (500 kg) line pull. Progressive speed change according to the accelerating or decelerating ramps. Optima allows the hoist to adapt its speed to the weight of the load.
Trolley: 3 DVF 5: 3 HP variable frequency hoist with 1,100 lb (500 kg) line pull. Progressive speed change according to acceleration or deceleration ramps controlled by the frequency converter.
Reeving: SM/DM block for 2 (SM) or 4-part line (DM). Manual removal of one pin to change between SM and DM.
480 volt, 60 Hz measured at the turntable. Power Control allows for a reduction in power supply of 17 kVA to 23 kVA from city and 30 kVA to 40 kVA from a generator, with a proportional reduction in hoisting speed. Earth rod and electric cable stored on the crane during transport.
The wireless remote control provides information to the operator about wind speed, radius, hook height, load, and moment. Lights and buzzers alert the operator when nearing limits of operation. Battery charger and extra battery are provided with the crane.
Auxiliary push-button tethered remote ensures continual operation in case of battery or other malfunction of the wireless remote control. Optional tethered remote control ensures continuous operation with the same functions and ergonomics as the standard wireless remote control.
Optional transport axel sets are available for both Jobsite and highway applications. Jobsite axles are rated for 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and highway axles are rated for 80 km/h (50 mph).
